Manage plant employee training (orientation, operational, safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance). Coordinate safety initiatives, projects, corrective actions, and incident investigations.

Essential Functions: Recognize, evaluate and provide solutions to health, safety & environmental opportunities and concerns. Recommend changes to safety policies, safety programs and work practices. Upon approval, help develop new and revised programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.) to address hazards, prevent accidents, and ensure regulatory (OSHA 1910 and 1926, PA L&I, etc.) compliance. Develop new safety programs and initiatives to increase awareness, and reduce the potential for incidents, accidents and exposures. Conduct safety audits / assessments. Report findings. Take action to address findings. Participate in incident investigations and issue safety corrective action requests (SCARs) as necessary. Lead one of the TIMET Morgantown Safety teams. Participate in the TIMET Morgantown Safety Review Board. Track the status of SCARs, follow-up, and issue reports as necessary. Conduct / coordinate Morgantown plant new employee orientation training. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and recommend changes. Stay current on the various regulatory (OSHA 1910 and 1926) requirements and changes. Continue an active personal/professional development program through selected seminars, home study courses, trade magazines, books, journals, etc. Coordinate/conduct Industrial Hygiene testing and reports as necessary. Coordinate Hearing Conservation Program on an annual basis as necessary. Coordination and implementation of all required environmental programs

Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or an Environmental Science. Minimum 5-years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably melting or metals. Ability to focus on details and understand the overall impact of events and decisions. Ability to travel to other TIMET facilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule with weekend and/or back shift hours as required.
