Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) seeks a Program Coordinator (Fellowship) for the Department of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School.
Overview New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research with the goal of improving human health. RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and six centers and institutes focused on cancer treatment, neuroscience, clinical and translational research, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.

Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator (Fellowship) for the department of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School. The GME Program Coordinator, under the direction and supervision of the GME Program Manager, is responsible for assisting in the administration of the residency program as outlined in the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements. The GME Program Coordinator provides administrative and operational support directly to chief fellows and fellows and interacts with faculty, residents, fellows, medical students, and institutional and regulatory administrative offices as directed by the GME Program Manager and the Core Program Director.
Key Duties
Compile, update, and submit reports to ACGME and other professional organizations as directed by the GME Program Manager.
Compile, tabulate, and report data for surveys, questionnaires, census reports, accreditation reports, and other forms and documents required by internal and external agencies as directed by the GME Program Manager.
Coordinate resident bi-annual reviews.
Collect necessary information to meet current ACGME requirements.
Coordinate the administration of the ABIM National In-training Examinations.
Prepare and distribute all post‑graduation internal medicine verifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, plus two (2) years of progressively more responsible administrative experience.
Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional organizational skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to independently prioritize work and utilize resources effectively.
Proficient with Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite Applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and Internet applications.
Proficient with use of standard office equipment, copier, fax.
Proficient with use of audio-visual equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the use Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) is desirable.
Proficient with Resident Management System applications, such as New Innovations, is desirable.
