Duties and Responsibilities 1. Student and Experience Support: Ensure an exceptional student experience throughout the program. Serve as primary contact and advisor for EMBA students, addressing their academic and professional development needs. Work with the EMBA faculty Director of Graduate Studies to form teams within each cohort. Oversee planning for immersion weeks, class days, specials events and graduation. Participate in the program’s annual international trip (10 days in May/early June). Develop and implement innovative co-curricular offerings, both in-person and virtual. Maintain an active presence during on-campus learning dates.
2. Recruitment & Admissions: Responsible for achieving annual enrollment targets. Lead recruiting strategy development and participate actively in student recruitment activities and admissions events. Identify and contact prospective students, respond to program inquiries and conduct pre-admission interviews. Work with the EMBA DGS to make admission and merit-based financial aid decisions for EMBA students.
3. External Engagement: Engage with the business community to enhance program delivery and maintain strong alumni relations. Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and executive advisory council members. Represent the program at EMBAC and with other relevant conferences, associations and networking events. Collaborate with Assistant Dean and Office of Institutional Research and Analysis colleagues to submit data for program rankings.
4. Marketing: Lead program marketing, collaborating with the Marquette University Office of Marketing and Communications, Graduate School of Management ( GSM ), executive education and college-level efforts. Complete surveys related to rankings and EMBAC benchmarking.
5. Strategic Program and Curriculum Management: Lead the strategic planning and execution of the EMBA program, collaborating with faculty, staff, and key stakeholders. Oversee curriculum development and evaluation, ensuring relevance, innovation, and alignment with industry trends. Conduct regular program assessments and benchmarking against competitor programs. Schedule courses within each term and meeting sessions within on-campus dates. Work with Department Chairs regarding faculty performance and to hire new faculty as needed.
6. Budgeting: Manage the program budget effectively, allocating resources strategically. Create, oversee and utilize systems to analyze, track, and maintain all budget expenses. Manage the processing of reimbursements in iExpense system, the keeping of records for monthly credit card statements and reconciliations each month. Work with Administrative Assistant to order textbooks and coordinate catering and parking for on-campus sessions. Work with Academic Technology Specialist to purchase program technology and address student needs.
7. Responsible for the supervision of student employees which includes but is not limited to hiring, training, disciplinary actions, ending the student’s assignment, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in learning and development or academic program administration, preferably in executive education.
Strong understanding of executive education trends and best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing budgets and with Excel.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and fellow employees and be able to manage multiple employer relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Commitment to Jesuit values and principles in education and leadership.
Willingness to travel occasionally for program-related events and international residencies.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in using technology for program management and data analysis.
