Associate Scientist II - Contract - Cambridge, MA
Proclinical is seeking an Associate Scientist II specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology to join a dynamic team in Cambridge, MA. This is a full-time onsite position requiring five days per week at the Cambridge location.
Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will contribute to advancing RNAi therapeutic programs by supporting research efforts in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a life sciences-related field such as Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or Genetics.
Flexibility and openness to new tasks and challenges, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and eagerness to learn.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, GraphPad, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Familiarity with laboratory automation and liquid handling systems is a plus.
The Associate Scientist II's responsibilities will be
Design and execute studies to characterize molecules for RNAi therapeutic programs, including work with rodent disease models.
Perform animal tissue processing protocols such as grinding, homogenization, and RNA extraction.
Conduct assays like qPCR, Western blot, and ELISA to support in vivo studies.
Analyze and report scientific data to your manager.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols diligently.
Track and manage samples using databases such as Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Smart Refrigeration systems, Smartsheets, and other proprietary tools.
Adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with lab groups to provide solutions that meet team needs.
