Position Overview The Research Associate II will join the Biology group within the Research Department to support exploratory and preclinical studies, particularly in CNS and emerging tissue targets. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on lab experience, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to a fast‑paced and highly innovative research environment.

This is a full‑time

onsite

role located at the Cambridge, MA facility.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and execution of in vivo and ex vivo studies supporting RNAi therapeutic development.

Perform animal tissue processing including grinding, homogenization, RNA extraction, etc.

Conduct and troubleshoot molecular biology assays including:

qPCR

Western blot

ELISA

Analyze and report scientific data to management in a timely manner.

Maintain meticulous documentation in laboratory systems including:

Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN)

Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Smartsheet , smart refrigeration systems, and other proprietary tools.

Follow established protocols and SOPs with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Proactively communicate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Prioritize and adapt to shifting timelines and project needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.)

in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, or a related life science discipline.

1–3+ years of relevant laboratory experience in a research or industry setting preferred.

Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and a willingness to learn.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with GraphPad Prism is a plus.

Familiarity with laboratory automation and liquid handling systems is highly desirable.

Highly motivated, collaborative, and goal‑oriented.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Flexible and proactive in adapting to new challenges and responsibilities.
