Summary The Business Development & Marketing Manager plays a key role in steering the strategic direction of NLADA Service Corporation (NSC) and NLADA Mutual Insurance Co., RRG’s (NLADA Mutual) growth and brand positioning. NLADA Mutual is the only insurance provider exclusively dedicated to equipping the equal justice community of advocates with the coverage they need to courageously and confidently advance justice for all.

This

30-hour per week, hybrid position

blends the relationship-building role of business development with the strategic and creative components of marketing to help grow the overall book of business and market influence/market share for the organization. Collaboration with NSC’s core team and partners to align marketing initiatives with the mission and business goals is a fundamental aspect of the role, ensuring a cohesive approach to driving organizational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Understand customer needs and synthesize insurance and risk management best practice with the unique needs of the equal justice community.

Develop and implement audience-consistent marketing strategies that drive awareness of the company’s mission and industry-leading coverage, driving retention and growth.

Oversee production of all marketing collateral while generating promotional materials and marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and message alignment across all channels.

Establish a thought leadership approach that delivers content including articles and potential newsletters, attuned to groundbreaking, mission-focused initiatives of the business.

Drive digital marketing initiatives, including AI-focused search, SEO, email, and website content while managing social media profiles and presence, directing social media strategies to engage audiences and improve social reach.

Remain updated on industry trends and track competitor activity.

Analyze marketing and business development performance metrics like customer acquisition cost and conversion rates.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, and 5 years of experience in marketing and/or business development in a similar environment; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

A strong understanding of digital marketing strategies.

Proven record of accomplishment achieving business development and marketing objectives.

Must have experience with CRM and be proficient in various programs including MS Suite.

Experience in developing and managing project budgets and timelines.

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work well with all levels of personnel.

Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability for team building, networking, and collaboration, and ability to work successfully as a member of multiple teams.

Must be able and willing to travel periodically.

Must reside in the DMV area and available to work in a hybrid work environment.

Experience in insurance or regulation is a plus.

A portfolio or work samples will be required.

Salary The salary range for this exempt position is: $60,000.00 to $72,000.00. This is a part-time position with benefits, working 30 hours a week. Occasional local and/or domestic travel required. This is a hybrid position, and a person should be based in the Washington, DC, or DMV area.
