Pay Range

$38,000 - $45,800 per year

Overview

The Receptionist is responsible for front desk operations in a healthcare facility. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and visitors professionally, both in person and over the phone.
  • Managing appointment calendars and coordinating with medical staff to optimize schedules.
  • Maintaining and updating patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensuring patient accounts are updated correctly, including collecting copay at time of visit.
  • Answering incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries, and providing general information.
  • Keeping the reception area tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but candidates with strong customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers will be considered.
  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with value‑based care model.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
