Job Description

Job Duties

The Accounting Assistant will participate in and support all aspects of the Accounts Payables, Asset Tracking, Debt, Credit cards, and Leasing functions including vendor relations, assists with payment management, month end close and assists with year-end tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter all Accounts Payable Invoices
  • Manage equipment leases and enter all financing payments.
  • Set up and manage equipment and vehicle files for the company.
  • Assist with maintaining the Debt Schedule.
  • Enter and reconcile monthly Credit Card accounts
  • Manage company vehicle license tags and titles.
  • Manage fuel accounts by setting up new cards, coding of invoices and payment of account.
  • Assist with filing of Form 2290
  • Work with Supervisor to ensure compliance with accounting requirements and company invoice/payment guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service by building and maintaining relationships, supporting, and interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Assist with identification, research, and resolve vendor account discrepancies.
  • Provide problem resolution assistance to vendors and internal company personnel with tact and diplomacy.
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Seek ways to work more efficiently and effectively while not losing site of departmental goals.
  • Follow up with requests from other departments /auditors for information / reports.
  • Complete other tasks/functions as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience (Required)

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, Word & Outlook

Work authorization:

  • United States (Required)

  • Perform all administrative requirements per process
