ETHOS Talent and Advisory is partnering with a confidential client to hire a Vice President of Sales who blends strategic acumen with the grit to run through walls and deliver results. This executive role leads commercial growth for a company providing mission critical training, compliance, and workforce enablement solutions across nuclear, utilities, oil and gas, and other regulated sectors. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape and execute the sales strategy, lead a team of four direct reports, and drive expansion across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate brings high EQ and IQ, a genuine passion for sales, and a proven record selling training SaaS or solutions in compliance and other regulatory environments. Key Responsibilities Lead & Inspire:
Build, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team of
four direct reports , fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Drive Revenue Growth:
Define and execute scalable go-to-market strategies to exceed revenue targets. Lead by example in pursuing and closing enterprise opportunities. Expand Market Presence:
Identify and capture opportunities across
domestic and international markets
in regulated industries; deepen existing client relationships across the energy and industrial sectors. Strategic Engagement:
Build trusted relationships with executives, regulators, and operational stakeholders. Understand customer needs and deliver scalable, value-driven solutions. Operational Discipline:
Implement clear KPIs, CRM hygiene, and forecasting practices.
Leverage HubSpot CRM
to manage pipeline visibility, track conversion metrics, and support data-driven decision-making. Cross-Functional Partnership:
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to ensure consistent messaging and customer experience from first contact through renewal. Qualifications & Attributes Proven success in
enterprise or B2B sales leadership , ideally within
training SaaS, workforce enablement, or regulatory compliance
sectors Experience selling into
nuclear, utilities, oil & gas, or other highly regulated industries Demonstrated ability to
build and lead teams
and to execute scalable commercial strategies that drive measurable results Strong
emotional intelligence (EQ) , business acumen
(IQ) , and ability to motivate through trust and authenticity Hands-on experience with
HubSpot CRM
for sales management, pipeline optimization, and performance reporting Deep understanding of
regulated environments
and how safety, compliance, and training intersect with business goals Entrepreneurial mindset and “run-through-walls” persistence , balanced with curiosity, empathy, and collaboration Genuine
passion for sales,
you lead from the front and thrive on building teams that win together Education Bachelor’s degree required in business, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and deep industry experience will be considered, including military or utility training programs and recognized certifications. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NRC, NERC, FERC, OSHA, API, ISO, or IEC standards is a plus, as are relevant sales or CRM certifications including HubSpot Academy. Continuous learning mindset and evidence of ongoing professional development are strongly valued. Seniority level
