This role is part of the Cloud Readiness Design Team, dedicated to creating class‑leading enterprise tooling for robust, compliant investments in the cloud. You will focus on designing new features that enhance confidence and compliance for Atlassian admins at leading corporations worldwide, while driving AI‑infused experiences across compliance, data management, identity access, and cutting‑edge incubation projects. Responsibilities
Lead complex and high‑impact product design projects that raise the quality bar for our users, from conceptual models to UI design. Develop prototypes and patterns for scalable, consistent interfaces. Collaborate with design executive leaders to create compelling representations of design best practices. Champion design craft and mentor other designers. Work with cross‑functional teams across the Atlassian product portfolio. Conduct user research using various methods to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions. Engage with customers and sales teams for insights and feedback. Qualifications
5+ years in product design with a track record of designing complex or enterprise‑level software; experience in security, data management, identity access, compliance, or platform design highly valued. AI fluency (nice to have): comfortable designing AI products and using AI tools in the design process. Expertise in design systems, information architecture, and creating frameworks that support diverse customer use cases. Deep understanding of interaction, visual design, accessibility, and inclusive design principles; skilled in prototyping, user testing, and iterative design. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, able to articulate design rationale and build consensus among stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. At Atlassian, the baseline of our range is higher than the typical market range. Base pay is determined by skills and experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones for this role: Zone A: $161,100 – $210,325 Zone B: $145,800 – $190,350 Zone C: $134,100 – $175,075 This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
