Vice President of Ceded Reinsurance Operations

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Ceded Reinsurance, Trisura Group; the Vice President of Ceded Reinsurance Operations is responsible for overseeing the operational and post placement activities of Trisura Group’s ceded reinsurance function. Key responsibilities include building out an enterprise-wide platform for reinsurance operations and maintaining oversight for over $1.5B in ceded premiums.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee operationalization of reinsurance treaties
Ensure treaty compliance and adherence to contractual terms
Forecast reinsurer exposure and manage collateral levels
Perform ongoing due diligence of reinsurers to assess counterparty risk
Oversee reporting to reinsurers/brokers
Partner with Treasury to forecast cashflow requirements
Coordinate with Finance, Actuarial, Legal and Reinsurance Placement teams
Stakeholder management, including C-Suite and reinsurers/brokers
Qualifications
Deep understanding of reinsurance markets, contractual terms, and risk transfer
Minimum 10 years of experience in reinsurance operations
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, demonstrated strategic planning ability
Strong financial acumen and experience with financial data management
Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, or Accounting
