We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join our Enterprise Data team at SumasEdge Corporation. Our client is undergoing a company‑wide transformation and investing heavily in technology platforms to remain a leader in the Waste & Recycling Services industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the evolution of our data and analytics capabilities.
Principal Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and technology experts to establish technical vision and requirements for high‑value business solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications for reporting solutions.
Design and develop high‑quality code and models with reusability and performance in mind.
Conduct code reviews and recommend alternative solutions when appropriate.
Participate actively in Scrum activities (planning, grooming, demo, retrospective).
Build performant tabular and multi‑dimensional models for self‑service BI.
Maintain productive relationships with project sponsors, key system users, and vendors.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience managing large data sets (database environments >5 TB) and programming SQL queries.
2+ years of experience in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
Experience with data mining and data optimization.
Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with strong judgment.
Ability to engage and develop productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
Minimum of 6 years of technical development experience in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, data engineering, data science, or informatics in a traditional data warehouse environment.
Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering reporting solutions using BI tools such as Qlik and/or Power BI.
