Adjunct Faculty in Cybersecurity Full-time Faculty Positions

Part-time Faculty Positions

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in various disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Selected individuals will be contacted if they reach the finalist stage for teaching specific courses. The pool remains active until the specified closing date; interested candidates must resubmit to stay in the pool beyond that date. All pool members will be notified via email when the posting closes.

Responsibilities DePaul's Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) is located in Chicago's Loop, the city’s central business district. CDM values diversity and seeks to recruit and maintain a diverse faculty. Part-time positions are available throughout the year, including summer sessions. Course schedules vary each quarter, and the college will coordinate with selected individuals to determine their schedules. Courses are not guaranteed, but the college strives to provide ample notice of available courses. Qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews based on their expertise matching curricular needs.

The School of Computing (SoC) offers undergraduate and graduate programs including Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Game Programming, Health Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems Engineering, Network Engineering and Security, and Software Engineering. Required Qualifications Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline, or an undergraduate degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be considered with dean approval.

The candidate must have demonstrated experience teaching in diverse learning environments.

Special Instructions to Applicants The B.S. and M.S. in Cybersecurity programs prepare students in information security fundamentals, infrastructure design, computer forensics, risk assessment, and the impact of security on business operations. Students gain hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing security infrastructure in our laboratories.

Considerations Exceptions to standard rates may apply to courses with unique credit hours, labs, clinical/practicum components, coaching, administrative tasks, or courses with over/under-enrollment.

Compensation and Benefits DePaul provides a compensation range estimated at $4,700 to $6,000 per course, based on qualifications and experience. Benefits information is available at

Academic Calendar DePaul operates on a quarter system, with classes in Autumn, Winter, and Spring lasting 11 weeks, and summer sessions typically 5 weeks. The College of Law follows a semester system with 16-week fall and spring classes and a 7-week summer session.

Salary Information The anticipated rate is between $4,700 and $6,000 per course, depending on qualifications and experience.
