Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine focuses on developing breakthrough medicines across a full spectrum of therapies. Our Neuroscience team tackles complex brain health challenges including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, myasthenia gravis, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. We collaborate across the continuum from discovery to clinical development to bring treatments to patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and interpret assigned biochemical, cellular, and molecular biology experiments, and creatively develop and troubleshoot experimental protocols.
Prepare and record experimental reports that include detailed methods and materials, raw data, data analyses and graphs, and conclusions in an electronic laboratory notebook.
Maintain current laboratory equipment and operate analytical and other instruments.
Follow laboratory safety and data integrity guidelines.
Present experimental results during group and project team meetings.
Develop a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication.
Qualifications and Education
Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, or a similar field.
Experience and Skills
Proven understanding and experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques, cell culture and biochemical assays.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret complex information.
Problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
Preferred
Expertise in Neuroscience, especially in Neuropsychiatry.
Knowledge of drug development and pharmacology principles.
Experience with in vitro modeling of brain disorders.
Pay and Benefits $74,000 - $119,600
