Description & Requirements The Healthcare Consulting Reimbursement team at Forvis Mazars provides specialized support to healthcare providers navigating complex reimbursement regulations. Their core mission is to help clients optimize financial performance while maintaining compliance with federal and state healthcare policies.
What You Will Do
Advise clients on Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) assessments, including data collection, analysis of uncompensated care costs, and strategic planning.
Prepare and review Medicaid DSH survey forms, tools, schedules and other supporting documentation.
Guide clients through DSH audit preparation and support annual independent audits to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
Identify opportunities for clients to maximize the financial impact of uncompensated care and improve reimbursement outcomes.
Support Medicaid reimbursement initiatives, including supplemental payment modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Monitor and interpret Medicare and Medicaid regulatory updates to help clients maintain compliance and enhance reporting accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
2+ years of relevant experience in healthcare accounting or healthcare reimbursement.
Demonstrated experience with Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree.
Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL.
Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license.
