Overview Newton‑Wellesley Hospital is a comprehensive medical center located in Newton, MA. It is part of Mass General Brigham, a not‑for‑profit network founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, providing advanced specialty care and community‑based medicine.

Opportunity The Emergency Department cares for approximately 75,000 patients annually, with adult and pediatric trauma rooms and a 44‑bed general adult area open 24/7. The PA team works under the supervision of board‑certified emergency medicine physicians and manages high‑acuity patients, performs procedures, and teaches PA students.

Responsibilities

Assess, manage, and document patient care in ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural settings.

Perform complete histories, physical examinations, and bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.

Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Develop and document plans of care, medication orders, and discharge summaries.

Teach PA students and serve as a clinical resource within the department.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant (required).

Physician Assistant state license (required).

6 years of experience as a licensed Physician Assistant (required).

Prior PA experience in an Emergency Department setting (required).
