Maitre D' – Charlie Palmer Collective – New York, NY
Pay Range Base pay: $22.00/hr – $25.00/hr (part‑time; hourly)
Responsibilities The Rezdôra team is looking for a dynamic and energetic Maitre D' who is dedicated to the hospitality industry and wants to build a career in fine dining. The Maitre D’ greets and seats guests, answers phones, helps with reservations emails, participates in driving service (clearing tables, running food, taking cocktail orders) and maintains our spaces as a liaison between FOH and BOH. The role requires working with Management and supervising the Host team to greet guests with a warm, knowledgeable, appreciative demeanor and a genuine smile with eye contact. The Maitre D’ must be personable, anticipate needs and work in a team‑oriented environment to achieve guest satisfaction. This is a part‑time position with flexible schedule availability including nights and weekends.
Candidate Requirements
Must have 2+ years’ experience in a fast‑paced NYC restaurant as a Lead Host or Maitre D’.
Experience working with Resy is preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of industry critics & awards.
Must have full schedule availability including weekends.
Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic.
Service Responsibilities
Be warm, knowledgeable, and noticeably appreciative.
Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome.
Act professionally and always maintain composure.
Identify and report problems to management immediately.
Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs.
Implement and follow steps of service.
Physical Demands
Stand for extended periods (over 5 hours).
Lift and carry 50 pounds steadily.
Bend, sit, walk extended distances, including up and down flights of stairs, and move comfortably.
