End User Computing – Platform Engineer
Zurich North America is hiring an End User Computing – Platform Engineer who will work in a hybrid schedule out of our Schaumburg North America HQ. The role reports to the End User Computing Platform Manager.
Location: Schaumburg, IL (Hybrid Remote Working).
Responsibilities
End‑to‑end software packaging (intake, build, customization, testing, delivery) using MSI/EXE/MSIX and PSAppDeploy Toolkit.
Manage upgrades, installs, uninstalls, and configuration changes.
Troubleshoot and remediate packaging and deployment issues.
Ensure compliance with local/global guidelines and security policies.
Design, build, and implement endpoint configurations and user applications for both virtual (AVD/VDI) and physical desktops.
Manage and configure Intune, Azure AD, Endpoint Manager, and Active Directory policies.
Support and optimize cloud‑based desktop environments (Azure, Intune, AWS).
Provide Level 3 technical support and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
Work closely with engineers and technicians, providing guidance, documentation, and support to Level 2 teams.
Collaborate with the EUC Platform team to implement policies, procedures, and systems.
Participate in ServiceNow ticketing and escalation processes.
Research, recommend, evaluate, and implement new technologies to support future IT initiatives.
Develop and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
Document processes and provide training as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Database Analysis or Programming area AND
Experience working at multiple phases of database management.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technical skills in Azure, Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Active Directory.
Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, Workspaces, S3, IAM, etc.).
Familiarity with Citrix, VDI, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments (not a hard requirement).
Expert scripting skills (PowerShell, Batch, VB).
Experience with Flexera Admin Studio or equivalent packaging tools.
Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows 365, Office 365.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with ServiceNow, hardware troubleshooting, and OS/application patching.
Compensation Salary range: $108,130.00 to $177,100.00, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
