Our client is looking for an experienced Windows Desktop Engineer Specialist to join their team in the financial services sector. This role is responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and support of Windows desktop environments across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will deliver a secure, reliable, and high-performance end‑user computing experience tailored to front‑office, middle‑office, and back‑office financial professionals.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and optimize Windows desktop environments.

Manage endpoint security, patch management, and application packaging.

Automate processes using PowerShell and configuration management tools.

Support desktop virtualization platforms such as Citrix, VDI, AVD, and WIN365.

Collaborate with M365, Teams, and SharePoint to enable end‑user productivity.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise endpoint platforms.

Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, and Autopilot.

Proficiency in application packaging (MSI/App‑V), software distribution, and patch management.

Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Experience with desktop virtualization (Citrix, VDI, AVD, WIN365) and collaboration platforms (M365, Teams, SharePoint).

Understanding of security hardening, compliance frameworks (e.g., NCUA, PCI‑DSS), and data protection in financial environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

Benefits are subject to change. Location This is a fully onsite position in Winston‑Salem, NC.
