Job Overview
Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator
role at
Abile Group, Inc.
10‑year contract supporting an Intelligence Community customer. Provides user‑facing and data‑center services worldwide across multiple networks and security domains.
Responsibilities
Daily administration of multiple RHEL servers, attached storage, and the networks they use.
Tier‑3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
Remote implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
Documentation of system infrastructure and related processes.
Day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all server/storage devices.
Ticket‑management practices to escalate and communicate status to the customer and program.
Collaboration with engineers across multiple contracts to produce security and engineering artifacts that span technical, physical, and logical scope.
Interface with subject‑matter experts from across several contracts and service lanes to support and document systems environments.
On‑call support on a rotational, as‑needed basis.
Travel expected for installations, repair, and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
Ten (10) years’ experience as a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator supporting complex, multi‑site enterprise‑scale environments.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, or work experience.
Required Skills
Experience writing detailed, technical documentation.
Ability to respond to after‑hours on‑call support.
Ability to present to internal & external leadership.
Existing knowledge of customer processes, procedures, and production.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Geospatial software tools.
Desired Skills
A deep expertise in Linux/Unix and a working knowledge of one or more of the following:
Enterprise Storage Systems
Oracle/SQL Databases
DISA STIG Audits, hardening, and remediation procedures
Certification and Accreditation Experience
Licensing management
VMWare and virtual environments
Experience with scripting in Perl and KSH
Certifications
Required: 8570 Compliance.
Desired: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.
Clearance TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
Salary $90,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year.
