Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator

Abile Group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator on a 10‑year contract supporting user facing and data center services for an Intelligence Community customer.
Responsibilities
Daily administration of multiple RHEL servers, attached storage, and the networks they utilize. Provide Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems remotely. Document management of system infrastructure and related processes. Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all server/storage devices. Escalate and communicate status through existing ticket management practices. Collaborate with engineers across contracts to produce security and engineering artifacts spanning technical, physical, and logical system scope. Interface with subject matter experts from across contracts to support and document systems environments. Provide on‑call support on a rotational, as‑needed basis. Travel expected for installations, repair, and disaster recovery. Qualifications
Ten (10) years’ experience as a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator supporting complex, multi‑site enterprise‑scale environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work experience. Clearance required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly. Desired certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent. Required Skills
Experience writing detailed, technical documentation. Ability to respond to after‑hours on‑call support. Ability to present to internal & external leadership. Existing knowledge of customer processes, procedures, and production. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with geospatial software tools. Desired Skills
A deep expertise in Linux/Unix and a working knowledge of one or more of the following:
Enterprise storage systems Oracle/SQL databases DISA STIG audits, hardening and remediation procedures Certification and accreditation experience Licensing management VMware and virtual environments Scripting in Perl and KSH
