Under the general direction of the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. The Senior Accountant will also provide support with the accounting and processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, commissions, sales, taxes, cash, and treasury functions, reporting, financial analysis, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

Perform monthly financial close activities, including account reconciliations, monthly accruals, and trend analysis.

Prepare complex balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.

Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and corporate obligations.

Guide lower‑level accountants.

Support accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, cash, and treasury functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

BS/BBA in Accounting or Finance.

At least 2–4 years of experience in a corporate accountant role.

Strong GAAP accounting knowledge.

Understanding of state and local tax regulations (highly desired).

Competence in financial and bookkeeping software.

Knowledge of current accounting trends (highly desirable).

Familiarity with finance regulations (a plus).

Physical Demands – Work Environment

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting.

Prolonged periods of standing.

Occasionally the ability may be required to lift (up to) 25 pounds and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly.
