Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced and driven
Senior Production Manager
for Mainline product. This role will work closely with our Director of Production in managing and executing all aspects of overseas production for our Women’s Mainline Division.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute all aspects of overseas production to meet department aesthetic, quality, on-time delivery and financial goals.
Review and communicate emails daily with external overseas vendors and internal departments.
Seasonal buy placement per factory: prepare buy projection chart with factory allocation by season; prepare fabric buy projection to overseas mill (seasonal capacity planning all vendors).
Forecast/execute fabric buys to mills after proto review (direction from merchandising).
Placing fabric pre-booking with mills for long lead-time qualities; leveraging fabric between outlet- (mens and womens) to achieve best pricing.
Creating and manage TNA for fabric mills and factory by fabric groups (including all components of garments- fabric/combos/lining/padding/trims).
Tracking bulk fabric shipments & bulk approvals with fabric mills.
Provide design with target fabric pricing after seasons SKU plan pass off.
Manage purchase orders in the BMS system. Manage garment shipping including invoices & documents from factory to designated warehouse.
Set reminders for teams on corporate calendar deadlines (all dept).
Follow up weekly WIP report from multiple vendors: manage production schedule for samples, fabrics, trims and production to achieve on-time delivery. Flagging any issues to mgmt. (prod/sales and merch).
BOM review (validating and managing trim sheets) for production.
Set weekly meetings with technical team to review tech fit tracker and prioritize schedule.
Set weekly meetings with cross functional internal teams: Prepare agenda with pending items/discussion points: recap meeting as needed.
Fabric management: Review and approve garment yield, check actual fabric consumption chart and PGA report to minimize fabric shortage and overage with merchant and fabric mill. Review fabric quality and delivery issues with fabric mill and internal teams.
Costing: Work with Sr Director of Production to analyze and negotiate garment costs to maximize margin, approve final costs.
Set up and manage manual internal WIP report (excel/MS sheet) for internal team to review.
Attend and follow up for all meetings related to production with cross-functional teams and overseas vendors when necessary.
Attend tech fittings as needed and escalate any issues to team.
Engage in extra team projects and above.
Manage and develop production coordinator; monitor production coordinator daily tasks.
BMS — Manage Pos, reports and update all data related to production: yields, prices, delivery dates, etc. on time.
PLM (Centric) — Monitor all trim info and manage care labels.
Excel — Create pivot charts and manage all report charts.
Partner with the production coordinator on production SOPS- both internal and factory-focused.
Outline all daily production processes or change in process.
Continue to compile all necessary manuals for vendors & manage updates.
Qualifications
Must have 10 year experience in apparel production
Experience in women’s woven, knit and outerwear with overseas vendors
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in fashion related field preferred
Strong negotiation skills
Clear and thorough understanding of product life cycle timelines
Computer proficiency; Excellent in Outlook, Excel (& Pivot), Power point, Word, google/MS applications
Highly organized and self-motivated to meet deadlines
Eagerness and willing to learn; Ability to multi task.
Positive influence and team player supporting cross functional team members
Ability to lead team meetings and ensure deliverables are maintained
Management experience with ability to train and develop team members
Salary Salary:
$105,000.00 to 119,000.00*
