Job Description To manage NA PET resins, spend through the development, implementation, and management of an advantaged category strategy, in alignment with the Amcor Group Gmbh (AGG) strategy, BU’s business plans, and the dynamic competitive environment.

Key Job Accountabilities

Manage development of the North America PET Category Strategy through a collaborative, cross functional approach with the regional stakeholders

Drive sustainability agenda and implementation of recycled content targets through complex sourcing mix of PCR strategic partnerships, M&A activity, preform and virgin material sourcing

Provide fact-based analysis to support targeted competitive market positioning

Demonstrate alignment to AGG business strategy especially in the area of sustainability through PCR usage objectives and GHG emission reductions

Identify and build strategic partnerships with suppliers whose capabilities and strategy are aligned/complementary to the AGG PET Category Strategy and BU’s business plans

Identify and mitigate risks associated with the selected strategy to assure business continuity and sustained value delivery

Define and deliver tactical execution plan in support of the defined strategy timing and objectives

PET Commodity Performance Management

Finance: Collaborate with Business Units (BU) to drive and manage the NA PET buy-sell financials as part of the ARP financial reporting system

Value Creation: Manage, through cross functional engagement, the Procure Plus value delivery to targets and BU expectations as part of value creation operating model

Supplier Performance: Manage, along with Quality and Operations leadership NA performance for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Risk Management as part of the supplier management process

Category Expertise: Continue to develop and sharpen category capabilities to drive sustainable value creation and competitive advantage to BUs and Amcor overall

Collaborate with AGG resins team to support AGG led negotiations and sourcing to ensure deliverables are aligned with the Global Strategy, BU’s Business Plans and Sourcing Execution

Identify qualifications aligned with category strategy, to capture opportunities, mitigate risk and strengthen competitiveness as well as manage the qualifications with functional stakeholders

Manage regional volume weighted price point through dynamic price tracking and sourcing of relevant spec resin where applicable

Recover ARP incurred costs associated with supplier incidents (VIN’s)

Support the regional commercial business development with pricing in support of new business

Qualifications / Requirements

Minimum 5 years of direct materials category management experience (preferably in related category/industry) with demonstrated results

University degree in a relevant discipline

Strong organizational and project management skills

Demonstrated change agent success

Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization

Experience in the selection of suppliers – inquiry, benchmark and negotiation and development of sourcing strategies

Experience in the preparation and execution of commercial agreements relevant to the category being sourced

Appropriate application of market analysis tools – industry analysis and supplier analysis – and a demonstrated understanding of the cost drivers in their markets

Working knowledge of company information and data systems used by Procurement

Understanding of key administrative systems that impact Procurement and suppliers

Procurement technical skills, confirmed capability in each of the Key Sourcing Skills

Experience in Hypothesis Testing and applying analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $112,800 to $141,000; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $112,800 to $169,200 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
