Candidate Type: MD (Medical Doctor); DO (Osteopathic Doctor). Job Type: Perm. Disciplines: SGL (Surgical Services).
Optimum is proud to partner with a medical center in northwestern Oregon that has an opening for a Total Joint Surgeon to join their team. Cover complex and general orthopedic cases with support from an established team. During your time off, explore a charming downtown area or scenic landscapes nearby.
Position Details
Schedule: 2 clinic days and 1-1.5 OR days per week
1:6 call rotation
Caseload: 80-85% hip and knee replacements, remainder is general orthopedics
Some opportunities to teach PAs, PTs, and residents
Support Staff: 5-8 surgeons and subspecialty support, PAs, PTs
Must be board-certified

Qualifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered Physicians/Surgeon Oregon state license
Graduate from a fully accredited Physicians/Surgeon program
One year of work experience as Physicians/Surgeon
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision‑making and problem‑solving expertise.
A can‑do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
