Job Summary Under general direction from the Athletic Director, manage and administer all aspects of the department’s NCAA Division I Compliance Program. Manage and oversee matters pertaining to the monitoring, interpretation, documentation and implementation of all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations for coaches, staff, student athletes, prospective student athletes, campus constituents, boosters, alumni, and parents of student athletes and prospective student-athletes. This position has leadership and oversight of all human resources activities. As a member of the Senior Staff, provides strategic counsel to the Athletic Director to support short and long-term planning.

Minimum Qualifications For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.
Bachelor’s degree in related area
Minimum of three years management and leadership experience in a large complex intercollegiate athletics program.
Experience with administration of a comprehensive Division I Compliance Program. Experience analyzing and interpreting NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Effective communication and verbal presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize high volume workloads and deadlines. Demonstrated organizational and management skill.
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (law degree)
Experience working collaboratively with the University of California or comparable public research university and campus administrators to achieve organizational objectives.
Knowledge of University of California financial aid policies and process. Knowledge and skill to use the NCAA Compliance Assistant, FileMaker database and Legislative database for interpretations.
