The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support and performs a variety of clerical and technical tasks to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Human Resources Department. The position assists with employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and record management while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in compliance with district and regulatory requirements. Respond to routine inquiries from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, procedures, benefits, and hiring processes; refer complex questions to appropriate HR staff or management Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all human resource information and employee records. Conduct periodic audits of HR files and databases to ensure all required documentation is properly collected, filed, and retained Provides general clerical and administrative support to the HR department, including data entry, correspondence and scheduling. Serves as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers. Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation sessions. Support the coordination and execution of HR-related events such as open enrollment, employee recognition programs, district-wide meetings, and staff appreciation activities Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications. Education and Experience:

Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred Prior experience in and office or human resources environment preferred. Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
