Position Summary:

The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the receiving department in our beef production facility, FPL Food LLC. This role ensures the accurate and timely receipt of raw materials while maintaining compliance with food safety standards and company policies. The Receiving Lead supervises receiving team members, coordinates inbound logistics, and collaborates with quality assurance and production teams to ensure smooth operational flow.

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Supervision Lead, train, and motivate receiving team members to meet operational goals. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Enforce safety and sanitation protocols in accordance with USDA and company standards.

Receiving Operations Oversee unloading of trucks and inspection of incoming goods. Verify quantities, quality, and documentation of received items. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and inventory tracking of received materials.

Inventory & Documentation Maintain accurate records of receipts and discrepancies. Use inventory management systems to log and track incoming materials. Communicate with purchasing and warehouse teams regarding inventory levels and issues.

Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA, and company food safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of receiving areas for cleanliness and safety. Report any non-conformances or damaged goods to appropriate departments.

Communication & Coordination Coordinate with logistics providers for delivery schedules. Liaise with production and quality assurance teams to prioritize receiving needs. Provide daily updates to management on receiving activities and challenges.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in a food production environment. Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, USDA). Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in inventory software and basic computer applications. Working Conditions:

Work performed in cold storage and production environments. Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and operating equipment for extended periods. Exposure to raw meat products and refrigerated areas. 2nd shift
