DPW Manager - Fire Protection Suppression

This position is based in and operates from Ali Al Salem Airbase, Kuwait. The incumbent must be a US Citizen and will work and live in Kuwait. This position requires a US Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance. This is not a Remote or Hybrid opportunity. Position Summary The DPW Manager is responsible for the management of the fire alarm detection maintenance program encompassing all Ali Al Salem Airbase Facilities. The DPW Manager will support the US Air Force 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, headquartered at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The 386th serves as the primary airlift hub and gateway for delivering combat power to joint and coalition forces in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR). Experience & Qualification Requirements Work and live in Kuwait US Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance required Current and valid NICET Level II Certification Certification for Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems Minimum 10 years’ experience Experience includes Inspection and Testing of complex systems such as fire alarms, fire suppression systems, networked control units, smoke control interfaces, air sampling systems, multi-zone voice evacuation systems, and/or Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES) interfaces (e.g., DAS, BDA, IBPSC, etc.) Diploma from US Secondary School, General Education Diploma equivalent, or equivalent education/experience Duties & Responsibilities Overall responsibility for maintenance and management of Airbase Facility Fire Alarm Systems. Responsible for development of a maintenance, test, and inspection program, compliant with DOD and NFPA regulations. Develop a scope of work required for system repair, maintenance, or expansion of alarm systems. Oversee work for system repair, maintenance, or expansion, ensuring equipment provided and installed complies with current NFPA standards and the National Electrical Code. Plans and directs lead alarm technician’s workload, performs quality assurance checks providing written reports to fire management. Supervises and documents acceptance testing of fire alarm systems. Coordinates work schedule and requirements with supervisors, schedules appointments for testing repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems with facility custodians. May require formal training on relevant Automated Information Systems (AIS). To ensure compliance with safety, health, and security requirements in the contract, the DPW Manager must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level necessary to perform assigned job functions.
