Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of a warehouse facility, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of materials. This role is responsible for maintaining safety standards, optimizing workflows, and leading a team to meet operational goals in support of organizational logistics and supply chain objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping of materials.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures and policies to ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
• Manage inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
• Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics, including throughput, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Lead and train warehouse staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and transportation teams to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
• Resolve operational issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in physically demanding environments.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• More than 3 years of experience managing warehousing operations within the Department of War and preferably Department of the Navy.
• Experience with Department of the Navy systems and their associated warehousing needs, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
• Experience communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance metrics to optimize warehouse efficiency and meet program objectives.
• Manage and motivate warehouse teams, ensuring high levels of productivity and adherence to safety standards.
• Knowledgeable in risk management policies and assessment methodologies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to warehouse operations.
