About Stripe :

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet and to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team :

Own the platform responsible for powering in‑person payments for Stripe. Stripe Terminal helps our users extend their online presence to the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in‑person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. With Terminal, businesses can unlock in‑person payment use cases that fit their model—whether it’s creating a superb retail experience, extending a website to a pop‑up store, or enabling a mobile point‑of‑sale at an event.

What you’ll do

Operate at both a massive and nuanced scale, toggling between exposing Stripe’s payment infrastructure to in‑person via APIs and experiences and focusing on areas such as fraud reduction, optimizing authorization rates for merchants, and expanding payment capabilities.

Partner directly with engineering, legal, partnerships, finance, product sales, product marketing, data science, and technical operations specialists.

Set a motivating multi‑year vision and break it down into measurable, meaningful milestones for the Terminal Core Payments team, including roadmaps, OKRs, and trade‑off navigation.

Represent Terminal and Stripe in external forums, engaging directly in product discovery and road‑mapping conversations.

Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not required.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience or equivalent.

Technically adept systems thinker, ideally with a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.

Experience working on developer products (APIs, SDKs) and building interfaces for internal or external users.

Demonstrated success and strong execution track record in building payment products.

Great interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication. Ability to make complex concepts accessible with clear communication.

Nice to Haves

Experience working in the in‑person payments space.

Hybrid work at Stripe This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In‑office expectations: Office‑assigned employees spend at least 50% of the time in their local office or with users each month.

Working remotely: A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometres) or more from one of our offices. You may come into the office for meetings or events, but the expectation is to regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. We do not cover relocation costs to a remote location.

Pay and benefits The annual US base salary range for this role is $214,300 – $321,500. Additional benefits include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
