Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer – Relocate to Saudi Arabia
Aramco is a leading global energy company headquartered in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department located in the Kingdom.
Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day technical support to Operations and Maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
Lead the mechanical design review for new installations and upgrades.
Develop engineering design packages for new installations and upgrade projects.
Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities.
Participate in testing and commissioning of new facilities and turnaround and inspection activities (T&I).
Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
Analyze system performance and find solutions for energy savings.
Ensure quality, cost‑effective and timely solutions to any upgrade.
Test and pilot new technologies.
Ensure full Health, Safety, and Environment compliance.
Report and analyze key performance indicators.
Make recommendations for technical and economic optimization of existing facilities.
Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities.
Contribute to the business unit strategy.
Assist in the training, development and mentoring of younger staff.
Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation to support projects, processes, and financing related to capital investment decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration desirable.
At least 15 years of work experience, including 10 years in industrial operation facilities and shale gas facilities.
Good knowledge of modular skids mounted units.
Working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API‑STD‑610 and API‑STD‑617.
Experience creating and modifying PFDs and P&IDs.
Experience troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment (air compressors, pumps, diesel generators).
Experience creating schematics and piping diagrams.
Experience conducting failure analysis and providing recommendations for failed rotating equipment.
Experience with rotating equipment and piping field installation, commissioning and testing.
Experience specifying piping and equipment layout.
Thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers and feedstock sensitivities.
