Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for operating all surface facilities including field wells and processing facilities. Your primary role is to lead mechanical design review, follow construction, and lead commissioning and testing activities for new shale gas facilities. Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot and fix rotating equipment and mechanical systems. Develop engineering design packages for new installation and upgrade projects. Review project proposals and detailed design packages for new facilities. Participate in the testing and commissioning of new facilities and turnaround and inspection (T&I). Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings. Analyze system performance and find solutions for energy savings. Ensure quality, cost-effective and timely solutions to any upgrade. Test and pilot new technologies. Ensure full Health, Safety, and Environment compliance. Report and analyze key performance indicators. Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities. Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities. Contribute to business unit strategy. Assist in the training, development and mentoring of younger staff. Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; MS preferred. Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration desirable but not essential. At least 15 years of work experience including 10 years in industrial operation facility; Shale gas facility experience preferred. Good knowledge of modular skids mounted units. Working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME and API (API-STD-610 and 617). Experience with creating/modifying PFDs, P&IDs. Experience troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as air compressors, pumps and diesel generators. Experience in creating schematics and piping diagrams. Experience in failure analysis and providing recommendations for failed rotating equipment. Experience with rotating equipment and piping field installation, commissioning and testing. Experience specifying piping and equipment layout. Thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities; ability to work with multidisciplinary teams producing reports, studies and presentations that shape management decisions. Minimum Requirements
