Who We Are The Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for:

Building a world‑class, consumer‑focused caring platform that enables Hallmark’s lines of business (LOB) across the enterprise (Crayola, Hallmark Media, Hallmark Global) to accelerate their direct‑to‑consumer product strategies

Developing a Cloud‑first, multi‑tenant digital platform that provides capabilities and services, such as a unified Hallmark Profile, Product Recommendations, Global Payment services, etc.

Building, securing and operating digital consumer products for Hallmark’s LOBs

Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future

What You’ll Do The DevOps team in DCOE is managing AWS infrastructure, creating self‑service pipelines to empower developers and their productivity. The individual joining the team will be working with cutting edge technologies in DevOps such as Terraform, AWS, Gitlab pipelines, various automation in different languages for example Python, Golang, and more. The DevOps team is working on a lot of migration projects for example octopus migration to GitLab, Gitlab migration to SaaS, and more, which is going to help hallmark reduce costs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or 4 years professional work experience.

At least 4 years of experience as DevOps Engineer or Software Developer.

Experience with Terraform, Gitlab Pipelines, AWS, Datadog, and Docker.

At least 3 years of SQL and Aurora Databases experience.

At least 4 years of experience in Python, Java, and/or Ruby.

At least 4 years of experience in scripting languages such as Bash and/or PowerShell.

At least 4 years of experience in DevOps tools and technologies.

At least 4 years of experience in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information technology.

Familiarity with software development practices, such as version control, code review, and testing.

Experience in scripting languages to automate tasks and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet), containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and/or cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with any monitoring tool such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.

Additional Details

This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work both on‑site at Hallmark's Headquarters and virtually from your residence in the Kansas City, MO metropolitan area. The intent of our hybrid strategy in Hallmark Technology is to drive in‑person collaboration, build partnerships with the business, and enhance team culture, while maintaining flexible work arrangements, contributing to a positive work/life balance.
