Position Summary The Corporate Quality Director drives excellence by developing, implementing, and continuously improving the company’s quality assurance/quality control programs. This role monitors projects, collaborates with engineering, construction, management teams, clients, and client inspectors, and ensures adherence to the highest quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Reports measurable quality goals to senior management.
Communicates lessons learned to the organization and implements best practices.
Maintains Company code and certificate programs including AISC, ASME, NBIC, NQA‑1, PCI, and others.
Develops, implements, and maintains electronic welding procedures for AWS Codes and ASME Section IX.
Interprets engineering drawings, specifications and code requirements and ensures employees and contractors have required plans, procedures, and certifications.
Performs random jobsite audits to assure conformance to company policies, procedures and project specifications.
Travels to company and subsidiary offices, offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings across North America.
Exhibits regular and reliable attendance as required by the supervisor, company guidelines, and project obligations.
Management Responsibilities Manages and directs Quality Managers, Quality Engineers and non‑supervisory administrative employees. Supervises in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, discipline, complaint handling and problem resolution.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field and 10‑15 years of related experience with substantial exposure to projects of exceptional scope, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing to travel as required (up to 30%).
