Mechanical Engineer, Pump Reengineering & Nuclear Programs Join Hydro, Inc. – the independent leader in pump aftermarket engineering, repair, and technical support. We are expanding our nuclear pump programs and invite an engineer experienced with pumps or rotating equipment to contribute.

Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

What you’ll work on

SolidWorks deliverables: pump cross-sections, general arrangement drawings, and bills of material integrated with ERP.

Manufacturing drawings: GD&T and stack-up tolerance analysis and reviews.

Shop support: machining, assembly, and performance test technical assistance.

Plan reviews: new pump and parts manufacturing plans; repair plans.

CGD: prepare/review Commercial Grade Dedication plans for product, process, and vendor.

Materials & procurement: casting specs, weld wire, and ASME/Code material procurement documents.

Fabrication procedures: WPS, PQR, WPQ; heat treatment; thermal coating procedures.

Equivalency & quality: Technical Equivalency Documents; nonconformance review/disposition and corrective actions (internal and vendor).

Engineering analysis: mechanical and hydraulic calculations; stress and seismic calculations; code reconciliation; ASME code component design reports.

Testing documentation: performance and vibration test reports; performance test requisitions.

Process discipline: author/revise engineering process control procedures and documents.

Lifecycle docs: assembly, installation, maintenance, and storage procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of experience in the pump or rotating equipment industry.

SolidWorks proficiency and hands‑on mechanical design expertise.

Strong grasp of engineering principles; analytical, computer, and communication skills.

Motivated learner who thrives under deadlines and pressure.
