Paid parking or transportation reimbursement About the Role We are a fast-paced biotech startup in Seattle seeking a Temporary Bookkeeper/Accountant to support our finance operations during a critical transition period. This hands-on role will manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations, using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Bill.com, and Rippling. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative startup environment and can start immediately. Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and payments through Bill.com. Handle biweekly payroll processing and employee record management in Rippling. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. Support monthly financial close, reporting, and documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records. Assist with special projects and administrative finance tasks as needed. Qualifications
2–3 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com required. Experience with Rippling for payroll processing strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles, AP/AR, and reconciliations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-moving startup environment. Available to work on-site in Seattle Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Minimum 30 hours/week; full-time preferred.
