Responsibilities include

Conduct thorough welding inspections on fabricated welds at various fabrication shops across the U.S.

Ensure quality and compliance with client specifications.

Report findings and provide recommendations.

Perform final inspections before project signoffs.

Travel may be required; inspectors may be assigned to multiple locations during a project.

Skills and certifications

5 years’ experience as a Welding Inspector

Knowledge of welding techniques and inspection processes

Familiarity with fabrication shop inspections preferred

Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred but not required

Non‑certified welders/inspectors with strong experience considered

Industry experience

Experience in industrial fabrication, especially hospitals and building projects

Prior experience with welding inspections for similar industries is ideal

Contract type: 1099 contract (Part Time)

Shift hours: Flexible, dependent on the project. May include full‑day or partial‑day shifts based on needs.
