Senior Engineer – Modeling & Simulation (Medical Device) Join a global leader in medical technology that’s revolutionizing how orthopedic implants and robotic‑assisted procedures are designed and delivered.

Our client is seeking a

Senior Engineer

to advance next‑generation implant designs, processes, and surgical technologies through cutting‑edge modeling and simulation.

What You’ll Do

Conduct in‑depth literature research to inform analytical methods and modeling assumptions.

Execute static and dynamic nonlinear multibody finite element analyses (FEA), including deformable contact, advanced material properties, and multi‑physics modeling.

Develop new techniques and automation tools using custom programming as needed.

Interpret analytical results to recommend design, process, or material improvements.

Create and validate analytical models to support R&D initiatives and regulatory submissions.

Author technical reports, 510(k) submission documents, and research publications.

Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to develop next‑generation orthopedic devices.

Interface with clinical advisors and research partners to evaluate new technologies and methods.

Support and manage external modeling and simulation research collaborations.

What You’ll Need Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.

Minimum 2 years of experience in modeling & simulation‑based research (medical device or related industry).

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.

Hands‑on experience with:

Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, Abaqus, LS‑Dyna)

CAD software (Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks)

Programming (Fortran, MATLAB, Python)

Musculoskeletal simulation tools (OpenSim)

Strong foundation in mechanics, engineering principles, and product development.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.

Proven ability to deliver analytical or material solutions from concept to completion.
