Sales Lead – White House Black Market (Post 5/2023)
Chico’s FAS, Inc. invites a dedicated Sales Lead to support a customer‑focused sales culture in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Functional Responsibilities
Drive Results
– Establish clear expectations and hold the store team accountable to brand and performance standards. Oversee basic operations such as opening, closing and merchandise flow.
Supervise sales associates, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation and service activities. Use weekly schedules to ensure optimal floor coverage.
Maintain standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention and all other duties as directed by Management.
Develop a high‑performance culture and motivate the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals; meet personal sales goals.
Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge and selling techniques in store and online.
Build High‑Performing Teams
Motivate and inspire the store team, promoting a shared vision while modeling core values.
Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving and effective change.
Seek personal developmental opportunities and solicit feedback to build leadership skill set.
Customer Experience
Model the MAPS principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni‑channel experience.
Recommend merchandise selections and locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs.
Build and maintain a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobe management.
Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and fast, efficient register experience.
Maintain consistent client communication via the customer book, rewards program participation and capture sign‑up.
Talent Development
Support, implement and follow up on all training programs and seminars.
Interpret KPI reports, coach and provide feedback for associate performance appraisals.
Drive associate and team engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
Ensure the store team adheres to all employment practices and policies.
Other Duties Other duties as assigned. Position may be found in multiple brands; duties may vary by brand.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Regular attendance essential; 15‑25 hrs flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Constant walking/standing – 67–100% of 8‑hour shift.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. – 1–33% of 8‑hour shift.
Frequent climbing – 34–66% of 8‑hour shift.
