Data Architect Overview Stratfield is seeking a Data Architect to join our client’s Enterprise Data & Analytics team. This role will focus on designing and overseeing enterprise-wide data architecture initiatives that support cloud migration, data governance, master data management (MDM), identity resolution (IDR), and advanced analytics. The Architect will lead strategy across platforms including Salesforce, Workday, Oracle Fusion, Totango, Azure SQL Server, Snowflake, and Power BI, ensuring alignment with enterprise business objectives. This is a contract position that will be hybrid in Atlanta, Austin or Chicago. If well qualified, a remote candidate may also be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Responsibilities Strategic Architecture Development Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards across core domains: Customers, Products, Employees, Vendors, and Assets. Lead data strategy initiatives focused on quality, integration, MDM, IDR, security, and compliance. Platform Expertise Architect solutions using Azure SQL Server, Snowflake, DBT, Salesforce Data Cloud, and related technologies. Optimize data interoperability across Salesforce clouds and core data platforms. Data Governance, MDM, and Identity Resolution Partner with Data Governance teams to implement frameworks using tools like Alation. Provide architectural leadership for MDM and IDR solutions ensuring consistent and unified entity data. Enforce data privacy and security standards in collaboration with enterprise architecture and security teams. Cloud and Infrastructure Leadership Drive cloud migration strategies and ensure scalable, high-performance data systems in Azure and Snowflake. Guide enhancements to transactional data capabilities for reliability and scalability. Analytics and Reporting Architect data solutions supporting advanced analytics and AI-driven insights using Power BI and Microsoft Copilot. Enable real-time and near-real-time analytics for operational and strategic decision-making. Technical Excellence and Innovation Promote innovation in data architecture by evaluating emerging technologies and methodologies. Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to maintain and communicate technical standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred. 7–10 years of experience in data architecture within enterprise environments. Deep expertise in Azure and Snowflake cloud platforms. Proven experience with Salesforce integrations and architecture. Hands-on experience with Alation, DBT, MDM, IDR, and data quality frameworks. Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive industry software or SaaS-based solutions. Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect), Salesforce, or data governance platforms. Familiarity with agile and DevOps practices, including Harness.io and GitHub. Comfortable presenting to VP/C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, VP). Collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team player with positive energy. Ideal Background Automotive industry experience (a differentiator). Background in software solutions for financial or operational systems. Deep understanding of data domains: Customer, Product, Employee, Vendor, Assets.
