Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team and lead key accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial data, support audits, and contribute to strategic financial initiatives in a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance investigations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with external auditors for year‑end audits.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to aid business planning and decision‑making.
Oversee fixed asset management, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuations.
Analyze financial data for trends and anomalies, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Mentor junior accountants and contribute to process automation using tools like Excel or ERP systems.
Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years in accounting roles, with progressive responsibility in financial reporting and compliance; public accounting or Big 4 experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification required.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
