Principal System Interoperability Engineer

Executive Summary:

HRUCKUS, a Veteran‑Owned management consulting firm, seeks a Principal System Interoperability Engineer with an active Secret Security Clearance to serve on an onsite assignment at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA. The role focuses on data link and communications engineering, interoperability testing, and fielding of advanced communication systems for the Department of Defense. Base Pay Range:

$130,000 – $155,000 per year Location:

Full‑time, Onsite Responsibilities Include: Analyze interoperability issues arising during development, testing, and operational fielding of communication systems. Provide technical assistance to resolve complex problems and support software integration and test efforts. Plan, implement, and monitor the fielding of Link 16 to other countries. Attend key planning meetings for NATO and other allies to ensure Link 16 interoperability with allied fighter aircraft and Combined Air Operation Centers. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Technical Experience Required: Active Secret Security Clearance. MS in Engineering. 15+ years of data links and communications engineering experience. At least 5 years of experience working in the DoD. Knowledge and experience in the integration, testing, and deployment of Air Force systems and associated data links, including definition of data link interoperability, interfaces, and verification and test assessment requirements. Experience in Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation at the sub‑system and system level. Experience defining and documenting Combat Net Radio (CNR) networking parameter configurations for Air Force weapon systems. Experience developing and documenting Joint Service approaches for integrating weapons into existing tactical data link environments. Expertise in aerial networks and RF communications and systems.
