Platform Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join their team on a long‑term contract opportunity, 1+ years. Role Overview We are seeking a Platform Engineer with deep expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps automation. This role combines hands‑on infrastructure engineering with operational ownership — ensuring our multi‑cloud platform remains secure, reliable, and scalable for internal tenants and product teams. You will help design, implement, and support container orchestration, CI/CD, observability, and access‑control frameworks that power our enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities Build, operate, and support Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS) and associated services across AWS and Azure. Develop and maintain Terraform modules and Helm charts to manage multi‑cloud infrastructure as code. Implement CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD for automated deployments and validation. Manage secrets, identity, and access using Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Teleport, and IAM best practices. Design and support networking components (VPCs, Route53, DNS, load balancers, ingress/egress, sidecars, and init containers). Create and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for Kubernetes workloads and underlying cloud resources. Collaborate with SRE, App Dev, and Security teams to optimize cost, performance, and operational reliability. Contribute to incident management, infrastructure testing, and code quality initiatives. Document architecture patterns, runbooks, and operational standards. You will thrive if you: Treat platform reliability, developer enablement, and automation as core values.
