The Marvell Nanofabrication Laboratory (NanoLab) features over 15,000 square feet of Class 100 and 1000 cleanroom space. It provides micro‑ and nanofabrication capabilities and a machine shop that delivers precision engineering services for custom instrumentation and fixturing. Responsibilities

30% Equipment Support

– Plan, coordinate, and perform electrical connections for semiconductor processing and other specialized laboratory equipment including deposition, furnaces, photolithography, analytical tools, and packaging systems. 25% Specialty Systems

– Provide electrical service and connection for building utility monitoring, access control, fire alarm, and other specialty wiring systems, coordinating with Project Managers and campus authorities. 20% Facilities Support

– Install and maintain electrical services in laboratory, instructional, and research support spaces; perform load analysis, update panel schedules, and ensure compliance with campus and state code requirements. 15% Design, Planning, and Documentation

– Create schematic diagrams and working drawings using CAD tools; coordinate with project managers and faculty to ensure design intent and scheduling. 10% Machine Shop Support and Maintenance

– Install electrical connections for machine shop equipment such as CNC machinery, lathes, grinders; manage parts inventory; maintain a clean and safe work environment. Required Qualifications

Journeyman level Electrician with 5 years’ experience. Low voltage cable connection experience. Estimating skills for materials and labor for electrical services. Communication, design, documentation, and troubleshooting skills. Electronic and mechanical skills. State of California Electrician License. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with semiconductor processing and nanotechnology equipment support. Experience with HVAC, utilities, and facility support. Knowledge of building‑wide system interrelationships. Proficiency with numerically controlled machine tools and CAD software. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and chemical safety. Salary & Benefits
