Overview
We seek postdoctoral candidates to exploit advanced stem cell cloning technologies to define the mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory diseases impacting lung, gastrointestinal tract, or central nervous system as well as cancers of the same organs. The normal and pathogenic stem cell variants will be leveraged to identify small molecule inhibitor and immunological strategies that selectively eliminate the pathogenic variants in these diseases. Position details:
Full time, Benefits Eligible, 40 hours per week, 1st shift, salaried. Pay range: $40.30 - $60.45.
Responsibilities
Conduct research using stem cell cloning technologies to define mechanisms underlying chronic inflammatory diseases and cancers of lung, gastrointestinal tract, and central nervous system. Utilize normal and pathogenic stem cell variants to identify small molecule inhibitors and immunological strategies that selectively target pathogenic variants. Collaborate with team to design and execute experiments in cell culture and murine models of disease.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or M.D. or both. Working knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, and genomics. Extensive experience in cell culture and murine models of disease.
