National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Bilingual Spanish/English) – Laboratory
Urban Health Plan, Inc. is seeking a National Certified Phlebotomy Technician who is Bilingual Spanish/English to work in the Laboratory Services Department.
Position Summary
The Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) will provide Bilingual Spanish/English diagnostic evaluations and treatments, perform laboratory tests as ordered, draw blood, collect specimens, transmit orders, and prepare specimens for pickup in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician, required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English, required.
- High School Diploma, required.
- 0-1 year of related phlebotomy experience, required.
- Understanding of safety rules and regulations, required.
- Flexible work schedule, required.
Key Duties
- Perform laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
- Draw blood, collect specimens, and transmit orders.
- Prepare specimens for pickup, in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines.
- Utilize appropriate needle precautions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Starting Compensation
Minimum $23.00 per hour; Maximum $23.00 per hour.

Work Environment and Schedule
Full‑time role requiring shift availability Monday through Saturday. Schedule: 8:30 am‑5:30 pm / 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, based on a 40‑hour work week (days off Sunday and Tuesday). Candidates must have a flexible schedule and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
