Shift: PRN – Day or Evening

Salary: $16.00 per hour

About the Role

Chateau Rehab and Nursing Center is seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team on a PRN basis. As the first point of contact for our facility, the Receptionist ensures smooth communication, provides excellent customer service, and maintains a welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls, determine the nature of the call, and direct callers to the appropriate person or department.
  • Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when staff are unavailable.
  • Provide information about the facility, including directions and general inquiries.
  • Operate the paging or phone system as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between residents and callers for those without personal phones.
  • Page or locate staff within the facility as requested.
  • Greet and assist visitors, directing them to appropriate offices or resident rooms.
  • Ensure visitors and guests comply with facility policies and maintain security procedures, including the sign-in process.
  • Monitor the front entrance for elopement risk residents.
  • Maintain positive communication with residents, families, staff, and healthcare partners.
  • Keep up-to-date directories, contact lists, and emergency numbers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Track and monitor the presence of sales representatives within the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
