Base pay range
$15.49/hr - $17.81/hr

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a cheerful and marketing oriented way; determine purpose of callers and forward to appropriate personnel or department
- Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel
- Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
- Answer general questions about the community; provide callers with address, directions, and information; refer specific questions to appropriate staff
- Welcome on-site visitors; determine nature of business; announce visitors to appropriate personnel
- Coordinate guestroom reservations
- Maintain current list of residents who are hospitalized
- Update appointment calendars, including transportation and beauty calendars, as directed
- Receive, sort, and route mail; maintain and route publications
- Distribute written communication; accept and sign for deliveries (mail, prescriptions, etc.)
- Maintain copy and fax machines; assist users; send faxes; retrieve and route incoming faxes
- Create and print fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as necessary
- Perform other clerical duties as needed (e.g., filing, photocopying, and collating)
- Order, receive, and maintain office supplies
- Collect rent checks from residents and family members; provide needed information to bookkeeping for billing
- Collect money for store purchases and meal tickets, etc.
- May drive a company vehicle from the community to social and other destinations (only if required by the community)
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification where required
- Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Numerical ability: add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables
- Ability to operate: telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, photocopier; work varied schedules and shifts as needed
- Customer service orientation: answer calls and provide information; direct callers to appropriate staff
- Ability to manage visitors, deliveries, and other front-desk responsibilities
