Warehouse Material Handler – Immediate Hire

Ryder is urgently recruiting Temporary Full‑Time Warehouse Material Handlers for its facility in Hazelwood, MO.

Position Details

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Second Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour (2:00 PM‑12:30 AM, 4 × 10‑hour days between Monday and Friday)
• Weekly Pay Periods – payment each week
• Schedule includes Monday; off one day Tuesday‑Friday and both Saturday and Sunday
• Products Handled: Medical Supplies
• Equipment Operating: High‑Reach Cherry Picker, Reach Truck, Walkie Rider, etc.
• Safety Gear Provided – safety is the top priority

Responsibilities

• Load, pick, pack, ship, receive, and operate forklifts in the warehouse.
• Perform cycle counting and other inventory accuracy tasks.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing records, audit totals, and manage tote induction and staging of products.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, and related documentation.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines and complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse or with powered industrial trucks (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
• Highly dependable, punctual, and with a strong attendance record.
• High initiative, accuracy under pressure, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely.
• Flexible availability for various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
